Hand of Fatima, Hamsa Necklace


The Hamsa Hand symbolisies the Hand of God, and is a protective sign. It brings its owner happiness, luck, health, and good fortune. Used to protect against evil eye, which was believed to be able to cause illness, death or just general unluckiness - Hamsas often contain an eye symbol.

The Hamsa hand has a wide variety of different spellings which includes hamesh, hamsa, chamsa, and khamsa. The Hamsa is also known as the Hand of Fatima, after the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad. 

Depicting the open right hand, the Hamsa is a sign of protection that also represents blessings, power and strength. The hand can be depicted with the fingers spread apart to ward off evil, or as closed together to bring good luck.

This 32mm stainless steel necklace is stamped with the message, "Let no sadness come to this heart", and has been complimented with a hand-wrapped Swarovski crystal birthstone and a Hamsa hand charm.


  • The stamped washer has a diameter of 32mm, and the stamping is a 3mm font, as shown.
